Jaan’nisar, a crime thriller TV series highlighting rule of law and justice will be launched on ATV. It is the latest production from the banner of CRS that is widely acknowledged for bringing up vital social issues through entertainment products.
After much acclaimed productions like 'Khuda Zameen Se Gaya Nahin", Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aagay' and 'Kis Se Kahoon', 'Jaan'nisar' is produced by Khawar Azhar for CRS as a play highlighting the need of reforms in state institutions, especially the police.
Directed by the veteran Aamir Yousaf and scripted by Amir Raza, the 13-episode TV series Jaan’nisar highlights the need of establishing rule of law by exposing the deep-rooted nexus of crime and politics and the role a responsible media and efficient police force can play.
Main cast of the play includes Nauman Ejaz, Sohail Sameer, Ghana Ali, Zulqarnain Haider, Saba Faisal, Nayyar Ejaz, Firdous Jamal, Zain Afzal, Jibran Shahid, Qazi Zubair, Sadaf Bhatti, Maira Khan, Iftikhar Qaisr, Javed Babar.
The latest production from the banner of CRS Jaan’nisar highlights crimes against women including sexual harassment, dowry, women trafficking and domestic violence. Defying political pressures and coercion the protagonist, a police inspector, is shown playing an effective role in curbing crime. TV series is designed to revive people’s trust in state institutions by debating exploitation of the system by the powerful and showcasing the common man’s struggle to fight injustice and inequality successfully.
Jaan’nisar also highlights the use of modern methods of investigation including forensic evidence and crime scene protection through latest technological tools. The TV series is set at a police station and every episode brings a new crime mystery to the viewers which is solved by the police successfully with all its limitations and capacity issues.
Jaan’nisar’s official sound track (OST) "Jo Roi Thee Unn Aankhon Nay" has been sung by the seasoned Jawad Ahmad and its video has already taken the internet and other media by storm. The song is composed by the maestro Sahir Ali Bagga and penned by Imran Raza. This is after a long time that Jawad Ahmad is appearing in a music video.
