Pakistan’s Censor Boards: A Case for the False Flag Operation

The Central Board of Film Censors, Islamabad, Punjab and Sindh collectively failed to notice the errant National Flag of Pakistan in the movie Daal Chawal

Pitiful! All the three Censor Boards of Pakistan have issued a green light to cinemas across Pakistan, to run the official trailer of upcoming feature film Daal Chawal, produced to honor the martyrs of police force in Punjab.

Shocking and disappointing to see that the funeral scene of three police martyrs in the movie, set to release on the 4th October, 2019, shows the flag-draped coffins, with a flawed design, coincidentally, in all the three national flags. The crescent, one of the foremost symbols, in the green and white flag of Pakistan, is pointed in the wrong direction, which makes the whole flag controversial.

The national flag represents the pride of a nation and sparks the patriotic fervor among the countrymen. Surprisingly, the film Daal Chawal, which has been filmed in the premises of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, Qurban Lines, Lahore, in the watchful presence of the Punjab government’s law-enforcing authorities, no one bothered to spot the inglorious blunder.

The Daal Chawal movie has displayed the Pakistani flags, in multiple times, in trailer and so it would be in the full-version movie, with a crescent, that is, in an utterly misleading direction, which is a wrong and sorrowful depiction, of the most prominent emblem of the nation.

Unfortunately, the members of all the Censor Boards, Islamabad, Punjab and Sindh, grossly neglected the botched flag, in the official trailer, and even in the feature-length film, which is eight days away, from its release date.

The disregard for the national flag, in a movie that was meant to pay tribute to the martyrs of Punjab police, not only exposes the lack of professionalism but also speaks volumes about the insensitive attitude of the filmmakers, at the same time, it also warrants an investigation into the matter of national significance, especially when the Pakistani nation needs to unite under one banner.

All the Censor Boards, issuing go ahead certificates to the movie, Daal Chawal must take action to revoke the permission of exhibition, until the producers Akbar Nasir Khan and Syed Asad Ali apologize for their culpable action on behalf of the Fun Club Production, and come up with the actual, dignified and majestic national flag of Pakistan.

The Pakistan government should use its authority to remove the official trailer of Daal Chawal from the social media and Internet, so that it may not misrepresent the national identity at home and abroad.

Latest Interview of Ramina Ashfaque   Miss Pakistan Charity International 2015 (Runner Up 2 Miss Pakistan World) How was the overall experience in the Miss Pakistan World 2015 pageant and what did you place? It was a unique experience to meet other Pakistani women that have been raised in other cultures and in other parts of the world. It was refreshing to be reminded that no matter where we live we can still represent our own culture. I have always had a passion for dancing and performing and I had so much fun working with the choreographer and learning the choreography with everyone there. As with every pageant you meet new people, but it was even more special to meet other Pakistani girls who share the same obstacles in our journey to be where we are. We have all had to answer the same questions as far as breaking through the social barriers in partaking in pageantry and such events, all while being strong willed to follow our dreams and ambitions. I was happy...
